What is the best road bike for under $1000.00?
I don't mind if the bike is used. Actually as long as the condition is good, I would prefer it. This would be my first road bike. I do have experience with suspension bikes, but find them impractical for where I would be riding. I have been looking at lightly used Trek 5200's in a size 58 for around $800.00. What is your opinion of this bike? Do you of anything better for about the same price? Is this bike overkill for someone new to road bikes? Thanks
