I broke two trek madone bikes in the same year, the bottom braket fell apart on both and completely screwed up my right leg and im still dealing with the problem to this day. Thanks Trek

  3. When I’m in the market for a very highend bike, a Madone will be at the top of the list.

  4. Trek rocks:D The madone really is focused in sprint and when i do long distances i don’t fell tired at all

  5. Trek is one of the few that offers lifetime warranty on the frame others 5 years max. I dont have a trek and ride a Look. I would consider Trek just for the warranty alone.

  6. Pros ride what they’re paid to ride. Astana rides TREK b/c Lance has a longstanding contract with them. It’ll be interesting to see what they ride now that Lance is moving to Radio Shack.

  7. As another post suggested, everyone makes CF frames using the same techniques, there is nothing magical to TREK’s manufacturing process, materials etc. TREK has great marketing though!

As far as a road bike being “fast”. . . well I’m a cat3 racer (don’t currently ride a TREK but have in the past). I’ve beaten Madone riders and been beaten by them. If you’re averaging >26 mph on a 40K TT, maybe you can comment on ‘fast’ coming from the bike.

  8. can ya lend me the 10 grand so i can get one lol. . . what colors did you pick?

  9. Just got my 2009 6. 9 Madone with a custom paint job. . . it is AWESOME!. . . money well spent

  10. Yeah, Felts are nice. Treks are over rated

  11. Derrell you will love riding it absolutely brilliant. . . Money well spent

  12. I also bought a “Project One” 2009 5. 2 on April 21st, I should be getting a call from the cycle shop any day, they said it would be here in 7 days. . . . can’t wait for it. Hope it warms up here in the Twin Cities, MN

  13. I have one 5. 2 2009 incredible bike, you never feel fatigued after! handing unbelievable

  14. Almera, I am not that big of a fan of trek, but you don’t know what you’re talking about. Felt’s are O. K. but Trek has team Astana who is the best road team in the world as of now

  15. felt kick treks ass im afraid. . .

  20. I’ve always wondered how a carbon fiber bike is made and put together.

Thank you very much for posting!

  21. Check out the Project One bike builder on Trek’s website. I am sure it will be used as evidence in some of our upcoming divorces!
